Digital Storytelling for Person-Focused Dementia Care

Who:  University of Canberra

What: A research team from the University of Canberra, including Kasia Bail, Stephen Isbel, Diane Gibson, and Nathan D’Cunha, with interns Stephanie Munk and Rhiannon Toohey, is exploring the use of digital storytelling to enhance person-focused dementia care. This project, funded by the Digital Health CRC, aims to assess the feasibility, acceptability, and effectiveness of using the StoryTiling app in both residential and community care settings across Australia. The app is designed to support dementia care by facilitating personalized storytelling, which is intended to improve care outcomes and patient engagement.
