How to work with us

partners we’ve worked with

Our approach

Our work is based on collaborative partnerships that offer a shared journey of exploration and experimentation around opportunities for health transformation.

We take an interdisciplinary approach to exploring problems that can range from system-level interactions to specific applications of technology. We have a solid track record in working with organisations from across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors to build new communities, new insights and new actions.

Partnering with your will be a bespoke process based on your specific challenges and the types of experimentation that would be most relevant.

Our partners are typically motivated and driven by a desire
to reimagine the status quo to transform health outcomes.

Common aspects of what we usually deliver are:

New insights that serve multiple purposes

Whether you’re looking to build a case for change, test new approaches, or uncover a new angle on an issue, we can enable interdisciplinary connections bridging research evidence, industry application and strategy. Operating at the nexus of academia and industry, we can lead research and curate experiences that tap into RMIT University’s vast network of academic partners.

  • Developed the future of health system logistics with Australia Post.
  • Built and demonstrated the case for distributed infrastructure with Cisco.
  • Trial of a wearable device, with machine learning functionality, to explore the connection between conversation levels and loneliness, known as the Conversation as Therapy-pin.
  • Launch of the Cisco Sandbox environment in the HTL lab space.

New actions through experimentation & prototyping

As a lab we prototype and experiment in ways that blend research methodologies and technology opportunities. Prototyping can range from specific technology solutions to simulations. Our testing environment includes the RMIT-Cisco Sandbox, a powerful platform for examining scenarios and models of virtualised care.

New communities that open doors for greater collaboration and impact

Transformation often benefits from new opportunities for collaboration, ideas exchange or identifying a coalition of partners connected to a mission. We can assist this by bringing you into our ecosystem of partners both within RMIT University, RMIT’s Social Innovation Hub and Australia’s healthcare sector that is made up of leaders in social innovation and entrepreneurship, health and justice.
  • Provocations curations with Alfred Health to shape the hospital’s vision for uts new innovation hub.
