Exploring the role of Robotics in public settings

Watch robot dog ‘Spot’ in action, as HTL investigate how people perceive robots across public, clinical and educational settings, shaping an evidence base for what the future of robotic health should look like.

The Health Transformation Lab undertook investigation into how people perceive robots across public, clinical and educational settings, shaping an evidence base for what the future of robotic health should look like. We conducted a world first large-scale data collection in public spaces, worked with RMIT University’s nursing programme to trial robots in clinical spaces, and provided RMIT students with a unique opportunity to create practical applications with advanced robots. We also explored creative partnerships with artists, pushing many boundaries in our understanding of human robot relationships.
